The Pioneer Farm at Mount Vernon

Pioneer Farm at Mount Vernon

Scouts will learn how George Washington introduced modern
concepts of conservation through the operation of farms on
his Mount Vernon estate.

16-Sided Barn

A recently reconstructed 16-sided barn is a replica of a barn
George Washington built when he switched his main crop
from tobacco to wheat.
